Supposedly survived the war. Found on 1860 Cheatham
Co., Tn. in HH of Edward G. Hudgens who was son of
Gabriel), does not seem to be son. He was named in 1856 will of Tabitha Hicks Bracey King, as grandson. Siblings may have been Josephine and Hannah R. Hudgens, also named in the will.
WHO WERE HIS PARENTS. What happened to him? Have
been unable to find a trace of him. Thank you.

Barbara, I have 3 Benjamin Hudgens listed, but none of them I show as the son of Edward. Two were born in Virginia (Buckingham County and Cumblerand County) around 1805 and 1809. One I’m showing was born in Tennessee in 1794 and was the son of Samuel Hudgens and Elizabreth Lanier (both from Brunswick County, VA, but moved to TN).
I’m not sure which Benjamen Hudgens yours may be.
